Dunne Cathrina

My name is Cathrina Dunne and I live in the picturesque Dublin Mountains in Ireland. I have a small but select kennel of Shetland Sheepdogs.

I have bred and shown Shelties for over 25years and have judged for 17 years. I have made up 10 Champions under my prefix, Longrange, and have been fortunate to have Champions in all 3 colours; blue merle, tricolour and sable, also in both sexes.

Over the years, I have been lucky to have had dogs from some of the most prolific kennels in the UK namely Japaro, Dippersmoor, Myriehew, Tegwell and have also incorporated more UK lines in my kennel. In more recent years I have had the pleasure to have here, for a time, a dog from Lundecocks Kennel in Sweden and his lines are still breeding here in my kennel. I have also imported 2 blue females from Russia from Egerskoy Slobody Kennel and Pauchonaga Lesu Kennel. They are very successful in the showring hereand are both irish champions one being also an int ch and has 1 cc in uk . I specialise in blue merle breeding but love all colours and would never judge according to colour.

I have judged my breed extensively abroad. Some of my more recent appointments include club shows in Germany, Norway, Sweden Russia czech italy, Denmark . have also judged specialities in Italy, Finland, Sweden, etc. I am qualified to judge all breeds in Group 1 and all breeds in Group 5. In denmark this year I judged polar breeds club show samoyed husky malmute greenland dogs . More recently in 2018 I judged in melbourne Australia where I did club shows in Old english and japanese spitz . I also had huge entry of shelties , samoyed , husky , akita , aussies , rough collie , malmutes, australian cattle dogs ,corgi bearded collie
